Little River

Well there is something ‘bout the quiet, uplifting laughter
You’ve just spent so many years chased by a cloud, oh
It’s taken you so far, far past the cliff’s edge
And now your feet just poke around to feel the ground, ohYou say “Is this a joke?” I float “Come on now,”
You see there’s something down below
Just let me fall to be of use, make me the rainstorm
Just a piece of hail, you knowYou said “All the time it needs to take
And all the time there’s a shiver from some fallen tear
But is it honest like a fallen log
To dream of things like a little river to the golden ground?”

Starting to work on a very personal art piece of mine.
I showed the foundation of it in this previous post, and I’m very happy to finally get started on it.
Also there’s a tiny moth that’s stuck in the room and I’ve been trying to cup it in my palms a few times now to set it free. I’ll let it chill on the blinds for a bit.
(Shit quality is even shittier because I’m very shaky today)
Decided to press some flowers today before they’re all gone from the garden! So far I’ve collected some wisteria, buttercups, yellow poppy, snowdrops, mint, ornamental allium, and a wildflower of sorts that I suspect may be of the jasmine family.
Next I’m going to hunt down some wild roses, Pacific dogwood, heather, lavender, and purple irises.
And what’s better than pressing them with an 800 page mythology book, 11 art magazines, an old mathematics textbook, and Derek Landy’s “Skulduggery Pleasant: Mortal Coil”?
